    • CTCP Commands

      To put it simply, CTCP is a command to get your computer to do something or get someone's else computer to do something.

      Pinging an user is a CTCP command which gets the other person's computer to reply to that Ping CTCP request.

      Some examples of CTCP commands are:
       

      /ctcp «user» version
      /ctcp «user» ping
      /dcc «user» send
      /dcc «user» chat

      Version an user tells you what is the program name and version number which the user is using for IRC.
